We now hear that this is a national phenomenon and that more than 340,000 people over 75 in Britain have been left “trapped in their own homes” because of cuts to bus local routes rhe WRVS has warned. A poll carried out by the voluntary organisation has found that one in seven over-75s has seen public transport in their area reduced amid cuts to council budgets.
